Hi 👋 I’m Sabine Kreutz from Germany, an agility trainer and handler with 24 years of experience. My agility journey began with a Long-Haired Collie, a dog that wasn’t particularly motivated for sports, but one that taught me perseverance. Since then, I’ve worked with a variety of breeds, including a Sheltie, a Berger de Pyrénées, and my current passion—Border Collies.
Each dog I’ve had has brought its own lessons and challenges. My Sheltie, full of drive and motivation, was my introduction to the joy of a high-energy, sports-ready partner. However, it wasn’t until I got my first Berger de Pyrénées that my agility career truly began to take off, thanks to better training opportunities and access to talented instructors. This breed pushed me to grow as a handler, teaching me resilience and adaptability.
Now, I share my life with a pack of seven amazing dogs, including five Border Collies, some of whom are still active in the sport. Every day, I appreciate how rewarding it is to work with this breed, though I remain grateful for the lessons from my earlier dogs—they’ve shaped me into the trainer and handler I am today.
One of my greatest joys is that my daughter has also fallen in love with agility, fulfilling a lifelong dream of mine. Being her coach and instructor has been an incredibly meaningful experience. Beyond running my own dogs in competitions, I find immense satisfaction in supporting and mentoring talented young handlers across Germany.
